Application Note

RLCD-Frame Kit is a smart way to integrate video display into your rack cabinet without paying high price. Traditionally, if you want to have a display monitor for your rackmount systems, you only have very few options available. First option is to use a standard CRT or LCD monitor. This option is cost effective but you have no place to really secure the monitor. You can only place it on a rack shelf or on top of your rackmount system. If some one accidentally pulls the video or power core of the monitor, you might lose the monitor. It does not project your professionalism.

The second option is to use an industrial rackmount CRT monitor or rackmount LCD panel. These monitors are ideal for rack cabinet but they are not flexible. In addition, they are very expensive to own. Most of them are pricing above $500.00 for a 15” LCD monitor.

This is where the RLCD-FRAME Kit comes in to the picture. Our RLCD-FRAME kit design allows you to integrate any type of commercially available LCD monitor up to 19” into your rack cabinet. It is easy to install and easy to adjust. It features a flexible joint which allows you to tilt your monitor either up or down (Color yellow on the diagram below). You can also swing it to the right or left. (Color blue on the diagram) You can also adjust your monitor either flushes against your rack cabinet or a couple of inches extends out of the rack.

The best feature is the ability to use any standard VESA mount LCD Monitors. That translates into huge saving. You can use any cheap LCD monitor or high end LCD monitor depends on your budget. You are no longer tied down to bulky CRT monitor or expensive rackmount LCD panel.
