The new ColoMachine CM72 1U BTX Dual Core server is the next generation of 1U server specifically designed for today’s powerful processors. Most of the 1U systems available on the market today are not designed to support high performance processors with off-the-self motherboards. Our CM72 1U BTX server uses the industrial stand architecture based on the Balanced Technology Extended (BTX) specification. The BTX form factor offers efficient system cooling with in-line core layout. The result is the new CM72 1U BTX server.

The ColoMachine CM72 1U BTX server is based on the Intel D945GCZ microBTX motherboard. It comes with an Intel® Pentium® D 2.8 Ghz Dual Core Processor with 2 MegaByte Level 2 Cache Memory with a 800MHz system bus, a high performance 1 Giga Byte DDR2-400 Non-ECC memory modules and a 120GB 7200 RPM SATA IDE Hard Drive with 8 Mega Byte Cache memory. According to a test performed by Intel, Intel® Pentium® D 2.8 Ghz Dual Core system out performs the Intel® Pentium® 4 3.6 Ghz Processor in a multimedia and other graphic intensive applications. In order to keep these dual core processors running at peak performance, the CM72 1U server uses innovative thermal cooling design to keep the CPU core temperature running below 65° C under a full stress condition.
