CM72 1U BTX Dual Core system offers many advantages over the traditional

THERMAL As
the speed of processors increases, so does the need for
a more efficient thermal management design.
The CM72 1U BTX system offers thermal management solution
based on the new Balanced Technology Extended
(BTX) specification. The BTX design placed the heat
generating components – such
as CPU, memory chips and core chipset in-line with air
flow. Since there are no
more "dead
corners",
major heat generating components
such as CPU and memory can be cooled more efficiently.
Two powerful air blowes are strategicly placed at front
and rear of the CM72 1U BTX server to move the cooler
air in and hot air out. In addition, the new BTX 1U heatsink
offers more surface area
than traditional heatsinks. Better air flow and larger
heatsink surface make CM72 one of the fastest 1U
server available. Currently CM72 1U BTX server supports
Intel Pentium D processor up to 3.4Ghz.
PERFORMANCE The latest
generation of Intel® Pentium® D processor-based
CM72 1U BTX systems feature new technologies such as Hyper-Threading
Technology and Dual-Channel
DDR2 memory delivering robust performance. Because CM72
1U BTX system have extra reserves
of processing power, memory and PCI Express expansion
slot, you won’t
outgrow it as quickly as you do with traditional ATX
platform, making it a better long-term technology investment.

CABINET
COMPATIBILITY There
are many different sizes of open frame racks and cabinets
ranging from 13U to 47U in size to choose from. CM72
is
designed to work with any rackmount
cabinets comply with the EIA-310-D standard. You can
use either square nuts or tap-hole screws for installation
(cabinet screws are not included). CM70 comes
with standard front mount L brackets. It can be used
as a center mount bracet as well. You will need to use
rear mount brackets (sold separately) if you have 4 post
open frame racks or cabinets. You can also purchase a
pair of SR02-GD24 sliding rails to further simplify your
installation process.
Removable SATA Hard Drive CM72
comes with two removable SATA hard drive trays. It gives
administrators the ability
to replace defective hard drive in a snap. This feature
reduces service and maintenance time for
any administrators. You can have your system up and running
in a flash.
Besides maintenance, CM72’s removable SATA hard drive tray can
be use as the mean to secure data during an emergence.
Since data stored in the hard drive are more important
then any thing else. It is critical
that you save the data first during an emergency such
as fire, water, or other unforeseen events. By having
a removable hard drive tray gives
you the ability to safeguard your data quickly and easily.
More and more people are starting using hard drive as “data cartridge” for
their data. Since today’s hard drive are larger, faster and cheaper
per gigabyte. It makes perfect sense to use hard drive as “tape
cartridge” for new generation of tape backup software. You can
simple buy additional Removable SATA hard drive trays to use as “tape
cartridge”. Remove the hard drive that is full with an empty hard
drive. This type of setup is the most cost effective way to back up
your important data.
