We are pleased to introduce the new CM66A, the newest addition to our CM66 energy saving series 1U high performance server. The CM66E is the 3rd generation of 1U server which offers higher memory capacity, processor performance and lower energy consumption.

The CM66E delivers a flexible integrated graphic solution that is designed for the Intel Core 2 Duo processors. This 1U platform offers great features such as 1066 Mhz system bus support, dual-channel DDR2 667 Mhz memory, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 300, PCI and PCI Express x 16 graphic connector, Realtec High Definition Audio and Realtec 1000 Mb Ethernet connection. In addition, it offers new features such as front side accessible USB ports, dual removable hard drive bays, and a superior thermal management design.

The ColoMachine CM66E 1U rackmount server is based on the newest Asus P5K-VM micro ATX motherboard. It comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo 6550 2.33 Ghz Processor with 4 Meg Byte Level 2 Cache Memory with a 1333 Mhz system bus, a high performance 2GB 667 Mhz DDR-2 non-ECC memory modules and a 320GB 7200 RPM IDE hard drive with 16 Mega Byte cache memory.

There are several key features which make CM66E differ from our CM65 series 1U servers. First, the memory capacity has quadruple. You can install up to 8 GB of DDR-2 667 Mhz memory. Second, the processor front side bus speed is doubled from 800 Mhz to 1333 Mhz FSB. This gives you more power to process more data request in a shorter time frame.

Finally, it uses less energy than CM65 series. The Core 2 Duo processor only uses 140 watts of power compares to 200 watts by Pentium D processor (100% cpu utilization). What this means is that you can use less electricity to run the CM66E servers and less air conditioning to cool the 1U system. This is great news for company with larger servers farm installation. For a typical 47U cabinet with forty CM66E install, they can save at lease 2820 Watts of electricity per cabinet. That is quite a bit of money from their energy bill.
