|
In most data center, the overhead cost is count by how much rack spaces
ISP use rather than how many servers they have. The more servers ISP
can run in the same amount of space, the cheaper the overhead cost.
That is the main reason for ISP to use standard 1U server. Now Rackmount
Distribution is breaking the density barrier again with its new ColoBlade™ blade
server product. The blade is designed with ISP in mind. It offers two
additional servers for the same amount of 8U space used by 1U servers.
Instead of install eight 1U servers in a 8U space, ISP can install up
to ten ColoBlade blade systems in the same space. In addition, you can
increase your server speed up to 3.4Ghz without worrying about thermal
issues.
ColoBlade Blade system is ideal for web servers, e-mail servers, small
cluster servers, video encoder, or other applications that need easy
access and easy management.
